\nAloney HaBashan is a religious cooperative villageestablished in the Golan Heights in 1981 by an idealisticcore-group fromthe Bnei Akiva movement. Its name, meaning \u201cOaks of Bashan\u201d, is taken from the book of Isaiah 2:13: \u201cAnd upon all the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan\u201d.
\nThe village is situated at the outskirts of the Bashanit Mountain Rangein the southern part of the Golan Heights, at an altitude of 980 metersabove sea level. Thanks to its height visitors enjoy cool weather throughout the summer,while in winter you can look forward to an enchantedsnow-covered experience!
\nThe high winds that blow in Aloney HaBashan turn the visit into an extraordinary spiritual [also meaning “wind-filled” in Hebrew] experience. \nAloney HaBashan is located at an altitude of 980 meters above sea level, and is known for the high winds blowing through it. The Garden of Sound and Wind, located in the village, is a unique acoustic garden thatutilizes a boundless natural resource \u2013 the wind. Visiting this magical\/enchanted garden is an exciting experience, full of lovely surprises based on the effects of the wind. In the lush green cultivated garden extending\/spanning over 150 meters, visitors can enjoy a hiking trail between the architectural-acoustic devices that produce sounds by the touch of the wind.
\nColorful weather vanes; a giant xylophone; hollow pipes that act as gigantic, natural bagpipes; wine barrels that function as huge drums; special structures with apertures that allow the wind to blow through them and create sounds are only a few of the unique devices found in the Garden. More surprises are waiting for you\u2026
\nThe Garden of Sound and Wind also features a large amphitheater for events, and has a vantage point overlooking the Sea of Galilee and the spectacular landscapes of the Golan Heights.
\nThe place houses an herbal garden, oak trees, wild pear trees and spacious lawns.
\nThe garden is part of a beautiful promenade in a park that extends across ten dunams.
\nEntry to the garden is free. Please note that the village observes religious law and, thus, prohibits entry by car on the Sabbath.<\/p>\n

Driving directions
\nAloney HaBashan is located on Highway 98, in the northeastern part of the Golan Heights.
